Terms of Service

1. The Service

Privacy Sweep is an automated personal data removal service. We use AI agents to discover your personal information on data broker websites and submit opt-out and deletion requests on your behalf. We provide cryptographic evidence of our actions. We do not guarantee that every broker will comply with removal requests, but we document every attempt and continuously monitor for re-listing.

2. Your Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and truthful information about yourself. Submitting false information or attempting to remove someone else's data without authorization is prohibited and may be illegal.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use Privacy Sweep.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree not to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer our systems.

3. Authorized Agent

By using Privacy Sweep, you appoint us as your authorized agent for the purpose of submitting data deletion and opt-out requests to data brokers on your behalf. This includes submitting requests through California's DROP platform under SB 362, as well as direct broker opt-out mechanisms. You retain the right to revoke this authorization at any time by cancelling your account.

4. No Guarantee of Results

We use best efforts to remove your personal information from data broker sites. However, we cannot guarantee that every broker will comply. Brokers may re-acquire your data from public records. Regulatory frameworks vary by jurisdiction. We document our attempts and provide you with evidence of every action taken, but the ultimate outcome depends on third-party compliance with applicable laws.

5. Subscription & Billing

• Plans are billed annually or monthly via Stripe.
• 30-day money-back guarantee on annual plans. If you're unsatisfied, email us within 30 days for a full refund.
• You may cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period (except under the 30-day guarantee).
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate for the remainder of their billing period.

6. Limitation of Liability

Privacy Sweep is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to the continued availability of your personal data on third-party sites. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, illegal activity, or abuse of the service. Upon termination, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days. You may export your data before termination.

8. Changes to These Terms

We will notify you of material changes to these terms at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
